Dynamic DNS: Your home network accessible from Internet. GOOD-DNS Domain Name Service enables you to bind and automatically update a FQDN (internet name) to your home IP address. See the "robot url" feature of your DNS entry.
Static IP: You can have a FQDN pointing to the IP address of your choice. There are various situation where a FQDN is useful, and it is usually nicer than an IP address. Having a DNS name also can help you get a SSL certificate (Let's encrypt).
You have to sign in and/or register before being enabled to do anything on this website, because your DNS entries data are linked to you account.
You will be able to set 5 FQDN (hostnames in good-dns.net domain) and any IP addresses, FREE.
Once you have a DNS entry you will able to update it automatically by calling a URL, fitting dynamic IP addresses changes. You can even get notified of your IP address changes.
If you need more it will be soon possible to purchase a premium registration which will give you new capacity, like having more than 5 FQDN, have a DNS wildcard, ...
